We are always searching for more volunteers to join the community
of Hope Food Pantry, there are volunteer opportunities open for
both children and adults. Volunteering is a unique way to help
restore hope and give back to your community. By signing up for a
2 hour work shift, you are giving time to uplift the people we
serve by providing grocery assistance.
Each Wednesday, fifteen volunteers are needed to provide grocery
assistance to the weekly shoppers. The first shift, from
1:15-3:30pm, requires ten volunteers, while the 3:30-5:30pm shift
only requires five volunteers.
Who comes to the pantry?
Over 2,800 individuals are provided assistance through Hope Food
Pantry weekly. People in this category are usually struggling with
unemployment, are victims of domestic violence, and are widows.
When is the pantry open?
Hope Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 1:30-5:30 located on
the Talitha Koum Campus in Sioux Center, IA.
Community Awareness?
As an organization, we know that the first step to solving this
problem is acknowledging the needs of our community. Hunger is a
serious problem that many people in Sioux County face. In order
for this problem to be fixed, the help of passionate individuals
who want to see a flourishing community are needed. Our priority
is to serve the hungry by giving them the proper nutrition they
need through our grocery services.
What if I can't volunteer?
You can still make an impact by giving a monthly or one-time
donation that will go towards grocery supplies.
