How to Help

Contributing to this ministry strengthens our shared purpose and amplifies the positive impact we can achieve in our community. Your involvement helps sustain our pantry and reach those who need them most.

Volunteer

A few hours each month helps ensure that a family gets to fill their grocery cart. Volunteers are so blessed by the experience that some even bring others to share in serving.

We can always use more everyday items like cleaning supplies, personal care items, children's clothing, food, or funds for purchasing food to stock the shelves.

Please pray for those who come through the doors. Whether it be the volunteers, staff, donors, or the families we serve, every prayer makes a difference.

Visit Frequency

Hope Food Pantry permits access only once every two weeks. Should you require extra assistance between those visits, reach out to our staff. They’ll connect you with additional community resources. Please remember that the pantry operates as a drive‑thru, so you may stay in your vehicle while checking in and receiving assistance. Having your barcode ready each time is also very helpful to our volunteers.

Clothing

If you'd like to shop for clothes, you will get a buzzer that signals when it's your turn. Take your box, and park in the gravel lot. Walk to the front doors, turn right, and wait in the circle of chairs where volunteers are ready to help. When your buzzer sounds, you have a 15‑minute window (set by volunteers) to shop. You will receive a box or bag in which to put clothing, household items, or toys. You will be responsible for taking your choices to your vehicle.

Testimonials

"I believe in humility. There are people in our world that are less privileged than most of us. Volunteering here offers a glimmer of hope for some of these people who walk in these doors. I have the chance to be an example of Jesus Christ for a lot of these people when they come to the Hope Food Pantry."
-Jackson (Volunteer)

"Originally, I got involved to work on my Spanish. After a few weeks, I found out that I loved interacting with the guests that walked through the doors. I developed awesome relationships with people through this experience. Both with guests and fellow volunteers."
- Courtney (Volunteer)

"Thank you and for keeping me afloat. Sometimes I have to choose between food and gassing up the car. It is not so great a sacrifice. Many face challenges are are inconceivable to them. I do work, and pay all my bills, but in this economy a lot of us are struggling. I deeply appreciate HOPE's help!"
